Homework and Question of the Day [22:55-27:15]
Actionable tasks for a successful week.
- Review your marketing efforts from the past six months.
Did you achieve your 6-month goals? If not, are you making progress? What areas have you had growth in? Maybe Facebook has been a great lead generator for you. Or maybe you’re finding that a lot of your customers find out about your business through referrals and word of mouth. Why not mention to your customers that you love reviews when they’re having a great experience in your store?
-If you’re listening at home or in your office, grab a piece of paper and divide it into 3 columns. Then label the columns ‘Cold’, ‘Warm’, and ‘Hot’. Write down 3 ideas for marketing in each column.
*For ‘Cold’, consider ideas related to brand awareness – maybe it’s a good time to organize a fashion show or local event, or join forces with a local business that compliments your own.
*For ‘Warm’, consider ideas related to answering questions, providing value with helpful articles, and engaging with your audience.
*For ‘Hot’, consider ideas that provide another reason for your customers to come back to your store and shop with you again. This is a great time to tell them about upcoming store events, sales, add them to your store database so you can save their purchase info, and put a marketing system of segmented newsletters into action (we’ll talk more about this in podcast #11 next week).
Question of the Day
